Jeremy Walenn graduated in Law from Leeds University, United Kingdom and then became a primary school teacher in London. He later qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language and has worked in many areas within this profession as a teacher, examiner and course book writer. He was appointed Head of the Language Centre at Cranfield University, United Kingdom in 1990 and came to Hong Kong in 2003. He is now the English Language Director of Asia International Open University where he is responsible for producing a range of multi-media materials to help students prepare for the Trinity College, London exams. With his wife Sara, he has also written a series of electronic books to help young Chinese learners of English develop their vocabulary. He loves the excitement of living in Hong Kong and the opportunities there are to travel to other countries in the Far East. He is trying to improve his Mandarin and learn more Cantonese to make the most of living in this wonderfully diverse and thriving community.
